Overview

This semi-private shore excursion is for those who want an overview of Berlin’s history and most important monuments, and also to spend some time shopping in the German capital’s slickest stores and districts.

You will be greeted in front of your cruise ship as soon as it docks and shown to a modern, comfortable and air-conditioned bus. Your professional driver will then transfer you through the picturesque flatlands of former East Germany to Berlin.

When you reach the city you will be met at the stunning Schloss Charlottenburg by a professional English speaking tour guide (we hire only the best) and your own private vehicle and driver for the Berlin portion of the tour. You will then be driven in comfort and luxury through former West Berlin. You will drive down the Kurfürstendamm and past the ruined tower of the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church on your way to KaDeWe – Europe’s second largest department store. Here, you will spend some time browsing 5 floors of luxury and cutting edge fashions, and then stop for lunch at the food court – considered one of the finest on the continent.

Next, you will be driven into Berlin’s historical centre to see the city’s most important sites – including the Reichstag, the Memorial for the Murdered Jews of Europe, the Berlin Wall, Checkpoint Charlie, the site of Hitler’s Bunker, and more. During the final portion of the tour you will be driven to Mulackstraße to explore some of Berlin’s most exciting contemporary concept and fashion stores.

Because you have your own private vehicle in the city, we can tailor the Berlin portion of the tour to your wishes. If there’s anywhere you’d like to go, or something you’d like to do, just tell us and we can adjust the itinerary accordingly. At the end of the tour you will rejoin your original bus to be transferred back to the port.

All of our shore excursions are adjusted to each ship’s docking times and each starts promptly after your vessel’s arrival, returning with plenty of time to spare before its departure. We have been organizing shore excursions for nearly a decade and have never missed a cruise ship’s departure. All you need to do is sit back, stress-free, and enjoy the ride.
