Explore the picturesque area of Mecklenburg and the fascinating city of Schwerin with its magnificent Schwerin Castle.

Meeting and Pickup

You will be picked up directly in front of your cruise ship.

Tour times are adjusted to your ship’s docking times. In the event of heavy traffic, road blockages, special events, or unforeseen circumstances the tour itinerary may be subject to change. We cannot take responsibility for such incidents and refunds will not be provided.

At the end of the tour you will be dropped off back at your cruise ship.

Itinerary

1. Warnemünde Port

Meeting at the Warnemünde port, directly in front of your cruise ship. First your tour guide will take you on a brief stroll of the beautiful Warnemünde village.

2. Transport to Rostock

After exploring the village of Warnemünde we will head to Rostock and then to the old town. We will have a brief guided walk of Rostock old town and see the Town Hall, Boulevard, university, Town wall and gates, Monastery and Merchant's homes.

3. Transport to Schwerin

After the arrival in the town of Schwerin we will take you on a sightseeing tour. We will show you the old town with market square, cathedral, government buildings (federal state government) as well as former residences of the Duke of Mecklenburg. 

4. Schwerin Castle

Next, we will take you to visit the spectacular palace of Schwerin - the Schwerin Castle and its beautiful gardens. Inside we will organize a guided tour or audio guides for all participants.

Afterwards you will have some free time for souvenir shopping and lunch.

5. Warnemünde Port

At the end of the tour we will once again whisk you back onto the ship.

Cancellation Policy

For groups of 1-6 people: free cancellation up to 24 hours in advance.

- For groups of 7+ people: free cancellation up to up to 7 days ahead. From 6 days in advance to 24 hours in advance, a 50% fee will apply. /unless cancellation is due to the ship's itinerary change, in which case it can be done free of charge up to 48 hours ahead

- Cancellations less than 24 hours ahead or no-shows result in no refund.

This tour runs with a maximum of 14 people per guide.

You can start this tour at any time of your choice. We recommend starting our shore excursions earliest 30 minutes past docking to allow for disembarkation.
