Overview

Our group shore excursion of Oslo starts with a scenic drive towards the fascinating Vigeland Sculpture Park, passing through the city center and all the main highlights along the way. Once we arrive at the park we will enjoy a guided stroll into the mind of Norwegian sculptor Gustav Vigeland and see more than 200 of his unique creations. After leaving the unique park, our next stop is from a completely different period in time. The Viking Ship Museum is a carefully curated collection of well-preserved burial ships and artifacts, a cultural treasure of the ancient Nordic clans. This is a highlight of the tour especially now that Vikings are experiencing a renaissance of sorts.

Once arriving back in the city center of the Norweigan capital we will proceed with a brief walking tour of historic Oslo. The impressive Karl Johans Gate is in the middle of the main pedestrian street of the same name, named after the king of Norway and Sweden, Karl III Johan.

The National Theatre, the Parliament, the Royal Residence are some of the main historic attractions on the itinerary and from the new modern Opera House & Ballet building we will be allowed access to the rooftop to see the impressive panoramic views of Oslo fjord.

The tour ends in the Oslo City Hall where the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony takes place. This is one of Oslo's most famous buildings to which the stunning architecture can attest.

The City Hall is located very close to the cruise port, making it an ideal location to have some free time after the tour or return directly to your ship. The tour ends at the cruise port.
